So It’s 2:00, I’m just now sitting down to my computer and realized ‘Shit, I haven’t done a post today.’
Life has been good…busy, but good. Male Elanah and I are are still on a roll. Partially why I’m so freaking behind on today.
And then my friend called me two days ago and the conversation went a little something like this:
Friend: ‘I just scored free Gaga tickets for Thursday, you in?’
Me: ‘Hell yes.’
And so now I’m about to get ready to head downtown, eat and drink something and see Ms. Gaga. Can’t wait.
I’ll think of something better next week. For now I need to get a nap in. Male Elanah kept me up late again last night.

That loud sound you just heard was jealousy rearing its ugly head!! Man, I was just lamenting the fact that I wasn’t going. I will admit it, I love Lady Gaga and her crazy outfits.
You could probably write a whole post on the crazy fools you see tonight. That’s going to be some GOOD people watching!

Gotta work until ten tonight, so besides no Gaga, my bride will be sound asleep when I get home.

I had just pictured you as more of “pop’s in the park” gal. Looking down your nose at all the gaga’s. My image of you has been destroyed, it is a sad sad day in Collin County

I’ll be interested to hear Elanah’s take on the show. Lady Gaga is a little tough on the eyes and I’ve never heard her sing. I did see her outfit that got her banned from Yankee Stadium. I gagged on Gaga.

Sorry to go off topic here, but I need a favor. My youngest daughter graduated from college in May. We all have read how difficult it is to find a job these days. After sending out tons of resumes, she has FINALLY got a job interview set up for this coming Monday. It gets better…..the job is with a joint project for two of the most prestigious colleges in the US. As a mom, I am praying to every exalted being I can think of…God, Jesus, Mary, the Dalai Lama, Mother Earth,…..EVERYONE and ANYONE who could help her. It will be her FIRST real job interview. So if any readers would say a prayer for her, I’d be eternally grateful!
Thank you!

Yay Cupcakes!!! Of course girl! How exciting for her too! Just to get an interview is quite a feat!! I bet you will be on pins and needles on Monday.
I love any music that makes me clean faster.
Speaking of updates, Holly-in-NC how’s that baby coming? It’s gotta be soon right??

So I’m leaving the pool area to go home and there’s a dog across the street, a lab.. looking scared and lost, just standing in the road.. So I give chase with my jeep.. of course, he runs, they always do.. Finally cornered and leashed him, called the number on the tag. Oh thank you! We met at the pool and she got her dog back. “Now I have to find the other one..” Oh Geez! So I spend a half hour driving around before giving up. No doggie.. On the way home, I think “If you want to get home, you better meet me at my house”. So I get home, no dog.. Go in, and get my stuff, let the dogs out front so we could go to the park.. What do you know, there she was
She ended up getting home too!
So, good luck with the interview! Wow them!

Captain…now I’m picturing you naked, howling at the moon, with Queen Bee and I dancing around you.

cupcakes, nothing but the very best for your daughter.
dub, i am and always will be a very well rounded person.
an update on the luncheon i hosted yesterday……
the grooms grandmother who had replied that she was coming did not show. to make it worse the groom’s mother NEVER said when she arrived at the lunch “oh my mother won’t be coming.” when the swag bags were being handed out she of course wanted her mother’s. did i mention i had to pay for her lunch as well.
i don’t know when manners left the building, but it does make me sad. i feel i will be the last person standing who knows which fork to use and how to properly tip the waiter to make your iced tea actually a long island iced tea.
Oh and captain you are right the moon was lovely.

Thanks, Queen Bee! You’re a sweetheart!

Miss Snodgrass, I am floored. Not only can I not believe the lack of manners but the raw rudeness these people have displayed. I would have been pissed. Regardless, I hope that the shower was otherwise a success and that your friend enjoyed it! It sounds like a great party. I want a Snoddy swag bag!
Captain, I am sure that the owner was beyond thankful for you generosity of time and caring to find her pet. My cat ran away a year ago (he did return) but I was so touched by the willingness of my neighbors to go out on their own to help search for him.
Good luck today Momma Cupcakes!!! You’ll have to let us know how it goes!

So the concert was just eh…I realized I wasn’t the fan that I thought maybe I was. I also realized I could of cared less about the 100 costume changes she had throughout the show.
Miss Snod, people suck, plain and simple. Well some people, anyway.
And Cupcakes, any updates on the first interview?
Monday, 26. July 2010 at 10:23 pm
Elanah, turns out there are two research projects, so two people will be hired. The two project managers interviewed her for 45 minutes, then sent her on to their boss, who interviewed her for 15 minutes. They said she would hear back from them within one week. She gave it her best shot, and felt good when she left the building. Keeping my fingers crossed and praying.
